Edgebourn Building Contracts Ltd is a well established, family run building company with a wealth of experience and knowledge attained throughout more than 50 years of trading.

The company was formed in 1965 and incorporated in 1967 by Keith and Diane Fellows who were subsequently joined by Martyn Syner (1990) and Stephen Fellows (1996). The latter two people are the current directors.

Although the roots of the original business were in electrical contracting and then plumbing & heating the Company has through the years diversified into many areas of construction work, that have left it well equipped to carry out many types of industrial, commercial, residential and specialist services work.

During the 1980's and 1990's the Company forged links with Swedish house builders and designers in what was then a small niche market providing highly insulated, low energy buildings, to individual environmentally aware clients. During the intervening years the focus on improving house construction above and beyond the traditional type of construction favoured in most parts of the UK (especially the Midlands) earnt the Company a reputation as a local specialist in timber frame construction and environmentally efficient building techniques. The determination to keep improving building design and construction led the Company to specialise in many areas of low energy building that are now very much the focus of designers and government departments. Systems such as heat recovery ventilation, super-insulation, triple pane low e glazing and ground source heat pumps are all now accepted and regularly specified in modern construction briefs.

Edgebourn has also become a specialist in providing disabled aids and adaptations such as level wet area shower rooms and access ramps, providing services to local authorities and housing associations for over ten years. The skills attained during this period coupled with the Company's specialist knowledge of low energy, modular construction techniques have led to the development of a "portable adaptive building system" that combine to provide a unique solution to extension building for the provision of disabled bedroom and shower room facilities. The flexible, bespoke PAB system is now being specified as a unique solution for local authorities, primary care trusts and housing associations looking to achieve disabled facility grants for specific situations.

The Company is committed to providing a professional, efficient, high quality and friendly service. We have developed many long standing relationships by working with clients to provide solutions to all types of construction briefs whilst maintaining our reputation for quality workmanship and good customer service.
